Communication
In order to better serve our customers, each employee has been issued a cellular telephone. A VHF 2 way radio system is standard in our all units. To enhance both safety and dispatch issues, a GPS tracking system has been installed in all vehicles.

Safety
Safety is an important issue in today’s energy industry. We provide ongoing training to our employees in the required safety courses – First Aid, CPR, H2S Alive, TDG and WHMIS. We recently introduced the use of computer-based training by providing our staff with the Petroleum Safety Training interactive CD-ROM that covers the IRP-16 requirements.

We provide staff with personal protective equipment, including monitors where required. We have an active OH&S Committee. If you have special requirements in the area of safety that our program does not cover, we would gladly review our policies and implement the changes to meet your standards.

Greg Cousins Construction Ltd. maintains the Petroleum Industry’s minimum standards for the Basic Safety Program by successfully completing external evaluations of our safety program. Our COR Number is BSP-00-019.

Equipment Maintenance
Our trucks and equipment are well maintained and in excellent condition. All units are equipped with fire extinguishers and first aid kits. A preventative maintenance system is in place with scheduled servicing for each unit. The condition of the equipment is very important to us and the staff is encouraged to maintain a high standard of care.
